One of my favorite ways to stay healthy while living at school is making sure I stay on top of having nutritional and filling meals. I know it sounds hard because the inevitable workload becomes heavier and heavier throughout the semester but there’s always time to eat. So, instead of skipping a meal, I’ll let you in on my favorite filling and easy college snack, and that is… TOAST! Sounds boring right?? Well, I love this meal option because it’s simple, you can take it with you on the go, you don’t need a full kitchen, and you can make each one in just five-ten minutes! So here are some quick ways you can amplify your afternoon snack or get in a fast and yummy breakfast:


First & foremost:

Classic PB&B (Peanut Butter & Banana) *no stove required*


  • Your fave nut butter; peanut or almond! (I used Stonewall Kitchen’s Creamy Almond Butter)
  • Half a banana
  • Honey
  • Chia Seeds

This heartwarming toast is a breakfast essential and all-time favorite. Adding chia seeds amplifies this breakfast essential by giving you extra fiber and healthy fats. After eating this, you’ll be ready to take on any day.


Greek Yogurt Cucumber


  • Plain Greek yogurt
  • Small cucumber
  • Red pepper flakes

This is one of my favorite toasts because of the fresh and spicy taste. Greek yogurt is one of the best forms of low-fat protein intake and will keep you feeling full and light. Adding cucumber will help you feel refreshed and provides a great source of vitamin B. If you’re a spice lover like me, adding red pepper flakes tops it off for perfection!


Did someone say StrawberryCheesecake?


  • Strawberries
  • Whipped cream cheese
  • Honey
  • Candied nuts

For a make-at-home strawberry cheesecake inspired morning what you want to do is…

1. Mix the cream cheese and honey together in a bowl

2. Spread onto desired toast

  1. Cut and place strawberries on top
  2. Add honey roasted nuts
  3. Munch up!


Pineapple Cottage Cheese


  • 2 pineapple spears
  • Plain cottage cheese

This toast may be simple, but it will give energy from the pineapple’s natural sugars and keep you full because of the high-protein content in cottage cheese.

All of these toasts are rich in nutrients and simple enough to make in any college dorm. In less than 10 minutes, you can start your day on the right foot and kickstart your energy. Enjoy!
